Black Unrestrained Liberty

There is no amount of favor, no amount of money, no job, no group that I will repress my voice or values for. This is not a theory or untested belief. I have met this test many times in my years. Repressing would have expedited my success, elevated my position, and more quickly filled my wallet. But, my dignity and my own self respect has no price.

Very few things in our lives are completely in our control, but our choices are. My choices are mine. I’m open to counsel, learning, differing views, and evidence, but my personal choices are mine. I will not cede that to the fragile sensibilities of archaic norms, timid souls, or yesteryears scars. As much as humanly possible, my failures and my triumphs will be driven by my thoughts and the constitution in my soul! Don’t dissuade people from this principled view, it’s part of the problem with our world today: The undervaluing of personal liberty.

The demand for unrestrained liberty is what our country was founded on, and there has always been a fear that the entirety of America would be empowered by the taste of unrestrained liberty. Don’t be an obstacle to that beautiful and powerful feeling. Liberty is everything!
